George Ganey
Immigration LawGeorge Ganey is a partner at Ganey Law Group. He is a passionate advocate for his clients and has significant experience advising individuals and businesses on all types of immigration matters, including investment-based immigration, waivers of inadmissibility, family and employment-based visa petitions, and asylum. George designs creative and effective legal strategies for his clients and is deeply committed to helping each client achieve his or her goals.
George is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Federal Bar Association. When George is not working with clients, he enjoys reading, playing golf, and spending time with his wife and family.
George earned his J.D. from American University Washington College of Law, where he was an Articles Editor of the International Law Review and a classroom legal rhetoric fellow, and his Bachelor of Arts at Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH. George is fluent in Spanish and Catalan.
Recently, George has:
- Successfully prepared and filed a high volume of I-526 petitions on behalf of immigrant investors from P.R. China, Mexico, and India.
- Responded to requests for evidence from USCIS regarding Regional Center-sponsored projects, investors’ source of funds, investors’ prior immigration activity, and direct investment projects.
- Assisted in filing a high volume of I-829 petitions, successfully obtaining unconditional permanent residence on behalf of immigrant investors and their family members.
- Obtained TN visa on behalf of foreign attorney from Mexico.
- Obtained an I-601A extreme hardship waiver for an individual from El Salvador who had accumulated unlawful presence in the United States.
- Convinced U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou, P.R. China to reverse its finding that EB-5 investor was inadmissible based on unlawful presence in the United States.
